Healing Through Wonder • http://simplespirituality.net
Bev Scott is Summer's Personal Assistant. She has been a spiritual healer for over 50 years.
Bev's study of spiritual healing began with her reading of the Holy Bible and the teachings of Jesus Christ as a child. As she continued reading and pondering Christ's teachings she decided to prove to herself the truth of His teachings when He said in John 14:12, "Verily, verily I say unto you, he that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do because I go unto my Father." Healing seemed the way to prove this, Jesus being the greatest healer of all since He is pure love, and so began her study of all types of Spiritual Healing. She has worked with hundreds of people as a Spiritual healer, counselor, and teacher. She is a Reiki Master, as well as a practitioner and teacher of other spirutal healing modalitites. However, in her work as a healer she found that she could not stay within the limits of these healing modalities and always came back to the teachings of Jesus Christ, the teaching that tells us that it is love that heals all things. Always wanting to go further in her studies of spiritual healing, to do more, to see what's next, wanting to see how far she could go in surrendering to God in her healing work, surrendering to love and letting the healing power of God work through her completely, eventually lead her to the profound healing power of Toning where there are not limits, there are no rules, there is just total surrender to love, the love that heals all things.
Bev is clear channel for God's love, the source of all healing. Her healing has been called transformational by many. Not only does physical healing take place, but there is an expansion of your whole being.
"She [Bev] is returning people to themselves; weaving them back into the fabric of eternity."

Thomas A. Newnam • www.sageandbrush.com
Thomas Newnam
is possibly my all-time favorite artist. Part of the reason is because of his history, and the story of how he became an artist, [see "Memo from Your Soul" in my online store, under "Books"].
But, most of all, I just can't help but feel emotions stirring up inside of me every time I look at his galleries. I feel as if I am transported to the places that he paints.
If you can believe it, Tom is a watercolor artist. I'll say that again: watercolors...with more depth, light and texture than should be humanly possible to attain on the canvas. (See the reflection in the water above? Pretty awesome, right? Wanna go fishin'?) Tom is a highly regarded and much-exhibited Pennsylvania watercolorist who has been painting professionally for over twenty years. He has been a prominently featured artist in the Chadds Ford Gallery since 1989, and has received recognition and awards in various other venues including the new Garth Gallery in Columbia, Pennsylvania.
Enjoy Tom's galleries of paintings on his website. They are serene, inspiring, and sometimes downright nostalgic. I am SO appreciative that he decided to become the artist in this lifetime. What a joy, even more so, to call him my friend.
Memo From Your Soul:
Here's the review I wrote:
I have to admit, I'm not much of a reader. But, when I received "Memo From Your Soul" from a friend, I decided to dive in, read it, and get it over with. Instead, I found myself savoring every page, hoping the book would never end. With every page I turned, I found unexpected encouragement to live my own life more fully and completely. And, by the end of the book, I felt it was possible. Absolutely. I, too, could have a "pony" of my own! In fact, I could not only have one, but discovered that I wanted this "pony" in my life: the "pony" which has become the symbol of not just dreaming about "someday," but moving forward to create that reality.
This book is not just another autobiography by some unknown author. Oh, sure, you'll find out how renowned he became as an artist. (I want some of those painting on my wall!) But, more importantly, it was written for us by a man who has obviously proven himself; i.e. he walks his talk, and he writes about it, beautifully and vulnerably, in a way that is life changing for the reader. I think it's his vulnerability that shows that he is authentic to the core. Autobiography? Or, self-help book for those of us in need? Clearly a bit of both, with the emphasis on the latter. He shows us that it's okay to go after our dreams, and demonstrates how to do it without running roughshod over the people in our lives, even when it means we have to potentially turn away from them temporarily to get the job done.
Thomas shares his life with us (pardon the expression, but he really does share it "warts and all") to show us what we can become, if we just have a little courage, and a little faith in ourselves, as well as love for humanity. As a young man, Thomas fell in love with watercolor art, and shrugged his shoulders and said, "Hmm. I can do that." And do that, he did. But not without challenges and sacrifices. The really cool thing is, he managed to get through the challenges and sacrifices with grace. And not only did HE do it, but he shows us, and encourages us, how WE can do it too, if only we will have the courage and grace to listen to the "Memos from OUR Soul."
Another reviewer mentioned how Thomas paints not only with paintbrushes, but with words. I couldn't agree more. His writing is like a comforting blanket. Delicate strokes, but a powerful presentation as the end result. Just like his artwork.
For me, the story had a very, very sad ending. Um...in other words, the book ended. It was just a beginning for me, though. And, in some ways I feel I am the continuation of his story. He leaves a legacy through each reader who chooses to hear his message and put it into action. It would almost be a discourtesy to not live life fully after reading his book.
Thanks Thomas Newnam. A pony for your thoughts. :)
