I know that this page might strike some as being rather controversial. This is a study of love for all people, even for those who have committed serious crimes against humanity. Dr. Peebles encourages us to always choose love in any situation, and for any person, as love is the greatest healer. We have come to this school called planet earth to love and be loved. And, in the seeking of love, we all will eventually come to understand that we ARE that. In order to heal our planet, we must heal human hearts. It is important to remember to pray for the upliftment of all men, women and children, and when they fall, forgive them. |
A Milk & Cookies Ministry
In 2006, I was driving home to Sedona from Los Angeles when, just outside of Phoenix, I saw a penitentiary. After 7 hours of driver's trance, I lazily thought, "I wonder what Dr. Peebles thinks about prisons. I wonder what kind of prison he would design." The answer came almost immediately, and I wrote about it in my next newsletter. [You can read the entire story HERE.]
It was one of those occasions where my car trance and ponderings allowed for clear verbal communication from Dr. Peebles. "I would make a prison with clean, comfortable rooms, fun activities, and I would serve them milk and cookies," he said very loudly.
"Milk and cookies?" I said, appalled, "Why?" (I was obviously quite judgmental about prisoners back then.)
"Because," he said, "They have never had enough milk and cookies. Summer, some of these people don't even know that there is an alternative to the lives that they have lived. Give them milk and cookies. Show them that there is another way to live, and teach them how they can create that reality."
My heart immediately softened, and suddenly I could see these people as human; simply wanting to love and be loved like anyone else.
Dr. Peebles soon made it abundantly clear that I would, one day, be involved in a Milk & Cookies Ministry. I was immediately intrigued by this, and more than willing to create it, but...how? I was at a complete loss, and over the years have said periodically to Dr. Peebles, "I am willing! Just show me the way."
Little did I know that six years later, Dr. Peebles would find a way to connect me to one of his great-great nephews who is alive and well and still living on the earth...and happens to be working in a correctional facility!
We met this year when he was in Arizona, and I learned that he was using some of Dr. Peebles' teachings (such as "The Three Principles") in his rehabilitative workshops with the "offenders." I asked if his students knew that the teachings were channeled. He smiled and said, "Yes," and explained that his students were very interested in meeting me, and wanted to ask questions about God, spirit, and energy. It was immediately apparent that the red tape would delay this kind of direct communication, and I suggested that he send me their questions so that I could answer them on an audio CD that he could then play for them in class.
A couple of months later I received the first set of questions. With permission of Dr. Peebles' nephew, I am presenting the Q & A section of the audio CD here. (As of this writing, in Sept 2015, I have recorded 3 CDs for his classes). I have not mentioned this beautiful man's name in honor of his privacy, and the privacy of the inmates. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to do this work.
I want to additionally mention that most of these inmates are drug "offenders." I never did drugs, though they were easily accessible to me in my youth, and I have known many people who have used and abused drugs. What I found is that many of these people are hyper-intelligent, hyper-creative people, and the drugs often took them to a place where they at last felt understood. So, it did not surprise me as much as delight me to hear of these inmates' curiosity about God, spirit and the universe, and their openness and responsiveness to my answers. This kind of awareness and curiosity about life is what I saw time and time again in the people I knew who used and/or abused drugs. I am not saying that I condone nor do I condemn the use of drugs. I am just writing of my observations with the amazing people who I have known who have been involved with drugs. I just see them as people who are growing like anyone else.
Dr. Peebles' nephew has made such a profound impact in the system that he has been asked to write a book about his teachings. Stay tuned.
I have edited my opening comments about my life and purpose from the following recording so that you can jump right in and listen to the Q & A section.

My Friend J
In 2009, not long after I received the information about the Milk & Cookies Ministry from Dr. Peebles, I also received a letter from my friend J. "J" which is how he spelled his name, was someone I met in 1989 in Santa Monica at The Gathering Place where Thomas Jacobson was channeling Dr. Peebles. [I first met Dr. Peebles through Thomas back then, and when Thomas quit channeling, I was driven to find Dr. Peebles myself.]
J and his wife were colorful people, to say the least. J dressed in what I can only refer to as a zoot suit. He looked like he'd just stepped out of a Frank Sinatra movie. His wife looked like someone out of the 1920s. Both had broad smiles, big bright eyes, and they were brilliant. The discussions with them were never boring. They chain-smoked one hand-rolled cigarette after another while passionately describing their perspectives on God, spirituality, and so much more. J was an amazing writer, and his mind moved at such an incredible pace that I could hardly keep up with him.
I was only 28 years old when I met them, and they were already in their 40s, which at the time, to me, seemed "really old." :)
I soon learned some interesting information about J. He was an ex-convict who had been imprisoned for five years in the 1960s because of his rebellion against authority, and something about bombing a bank (the details of which I never learned). When I met him, he was working as a Paralegal, and had been living a reformed respectable life for nearly 30 years. I also learned that, while in prison, he began his studies of spirituality by reading as many books on the subject as he could in the prison library. He eventually started a prisoner reform project, then known as the Seven Step Program, to help rehabilitate prisoners and prepare them for their release into society. I did not know that prisoners were released without provisions, shelter or job placement assistance, and this was one of the reasons for the high rate of their return into the "system."
I had the greatest respect for J for his accomplishments, and for the kindness and love that he showed to me and my family. Even after he and his wife parted ways, we continued to be great friends, sharing our writings, talking on the phone about esoteric subjects, and generally always feeling like family. In fact, when he and his last wife came to live in Sedona, they shared Thanksgiving and other holidays with me and my children at my parents' house.
Then, J seemed to disappear off the earth for years. I wondered whether chain smoking had killed him, or whether he'd just kind of meandered into some other existence, even perhaps another country, as he'd often alluded to doing. As hard as he'd tried to settle down with yet another dear, sweet woman after his first divorce, he just couldn't get the "ramblin' man" out of his system.
Unfortunately, as I learned in his letter to me, he was once again in prison, this time sentenced for 20 years. It is highly likely that he will live the rest of his days in prison. Sadly, this time he was imprisoned for killing a man (in self defense, he claimed in his letter). He wrote about his remorse, and his renewed commitment to God and Spirit, and desire to carry on with teaching the wisdom and Three Principles of Dr. Peebles while in prison. He prayed that I would forgive him, and that I knew his true heart. And, I did.
I thought his letter was fortuitous at the time, since the Milk & Cookies Ministry was foremost on my mind. But, alas, when I wrote back to him, many months later my letter was returned as undeliverable as addressed. J had been transferred to another facility.
Well, fast forward to 2015, and imagine my surprise when Thomas Jacobson (with whom I'd reunited as friends in 2014, wherein we taught a class in Sedona together) told me that he'd found our mutual friend J and had managed to contact him in prison by snail mail. I immediately asked for J's address, and wrote to him with love and support, choosing (as Thomas did) to speak to the truth of J's spirit (a loving, kind, gentle, deeply spiritual, God-loving man), rather than reacting with anger to the man who had committed the crime of murder.
J wrote back soon after, and I received two separate letters from him. One was a letter, and the other was a poem of sorts, or as he wrote a "PAEN TO SUMMER—SPIRIT SPEAKS." A poem called "the Goddess Channel." I had to look up the meaning of the word "paen," which is, according to Wikipedia, "a song or lyric poem expressing triumph or thanksgiving."
I offer it here, not to stroke my own ego, but to demonstrate how the depths of anger can also manifest in the depths of passion for life as well. People like J are, from what I can only surmise, living in a between world...wanting to love and be loved, but not really understanding yet how to achieve this, nor believing that, by the very fact that they are human, they are worthy of love.

The Goddess Channel (Paen to Summer—Spirit Speaks)
Yesterday I arose out of meditation,
grateful for my mantra
Handed down through generations
By the Hindu devoutees of Krishna
When a letter was pushed under my prison door--
It was love in the snail mail:
"Sending you a hug that transcends space and time." *
OMG, it was a Summer breeze
from the reincarnated Lili Langtree **
now a California native
Living in Sedona
Channeling the grand Spirit James peebles
and the great Christ
to the Masses
Seeking to know the eternal Questions
of WHO ARE WE AND WHY?
She is a dear friend to the late great mystic
Poet-novelist Don Pendleton
And she is a friend to Murderers and Convicts;
Her eyes are deep and seductive pools of Light
She is a wonderful writer
Praised by the many Masters of the Pen and Heart
And her practice of forgiveness
Has the constancy of the Swells of the Ocean
She is an experiential fearless and geniune Soul
A lover of Gaia
She treks across the Yavapai Indian desert
Drawing Spirit-energy Medicine Wheels
In the Vortex of the red rocks.
She has transcended Melancholy and Achieved
Enlightenment with love of Self and
Love-Wisdom-Service to God and Humanity--

** During the time that I knew J, I discovered beyond a shadow of a doubt that I was the arrogant actress, Lillie Langtry, in a previous lifetime. This was verified by Dr. Peebles through Thomas Jacobson. I became aware of this during a writing exercise wherein I used my dominant hand to write down questions for Spirit, and my non-dominant hand to write down the answers. The story of Lillie's life unfolded, including one tidbit about how she stated, "I will become the greatest trance medium to ever walk the earth!" Well, of course, I thought that was my ego speaking. After Dr. Peebles verified that I had been her, I immediately went to the UCLA library to find books about her life, and I carried sixteen different books down into the basement of the library to read them. I was particularly interested in finding a reference to her pronouncement about mediumship. As I descended the stairs, one book popped out of the stack and fell on the floor. I took this as a sign, and decided to start with that one. The book was "The Prince and the Lily" by James Brough. I looked up "spirituality" in the index, and instead found the word "spiritualism" citing only 2 pages in the book. I opened the book, and to my astonishment there was a very brief reference to how Lillie, upon hearing about the Fox sisters, was determined to prove herself as a great spiritist, proclaiming, "I will become the greatest trance medium to ever walk the earth!" She had a seance in her father's living room, and conjured up the spirits so easily that it was said that even the furniture began to swirl around the room. It terrified her so much that she immediately swore off of mediumship. At least, until her next lifetime. :)
