"As you enjoy the journey to your own heart, and certainly to your own enlightenment, simply lighten up just a little bit more! God bless you, indeed!"
—Dr. Peebles through Summer Bacon
It's okay to have fun! I grew up in a hyper-creative family, so part of the way that I have fun is by creating. My mother was an extraordinary cook and artist, my father was a television Director, and we were all involved in music, so our house was always alive with music, dance, art and delicious food.
As I've gotten more involved in technology, creating my own website, writing and designing my own marketing materials, I have enjoyed playing with iMovie and creating videos. My former boyfriend, Mark, is a Chef, and one day while drinking wine, looking for some way to shake off some monotonous times, we spontaneously created a cooking show called "Play with Food."
We had so much fun creating that show that we started considering other possibilities. Mark came up with the idea to create a show called "The Real Survivors" which would capture some of the great wisdom of people 70+ years old. Our first and only episode featured my Personal Assistant (and BFF) Bev Scott and her sister Shirley. Unfortunately, we were unable to inspire other 70+ people to participate in future episodes. It seems that there is a level of uncertainty and embarrassment in admitting to being 70+ years old. I think that's very sad.
The goofy Happy Holiday Video was created very simply by going to www.elfyourself.com (an OfficeMax creation). Try it out for your next holiday card. It's super simple, drag-n-drop technology, and it's free. I even made videos using my dog and cats faces...hilarious!
Maintaining this website is one of my greatest joys. I take pride in the fact that it's a mish-mosh of all things spiritual (because life itself is a creative adventure...nothing is outside of the realm of spiritual learning). I hope you enjoy this "Fun Stuff" as much as I have enjoyed compiling it!
With love and gratitude,
Summer
