Labors of Love
Since I started doing this work in 1994, I have had the good fortune of being able to turn my events into occasional fundraisers for various causes. Through the loving contributions of those who have attended these events, and the hard efforts of my many volunteers, we have raised thousands of dollars for various organizations such as the Salvation Army (after hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans), Breast Cancer Awareness, and the Arizona Hotshots who tragically died while fighting a forest fire. I have also donated to my venues, the Sedona Community Center (which works tirelessly to provide Meals on Wheels and healthy activities for seniors in our community), and the Sedona Public Library.
These are labors of love which have brought me great joy through the years. I now have three ongoing Labors of Love that I want to share with you. My most recent Labor of Love is the Milk & Cookies Ministry, in which I provide spiritual education to inmates (mostly drug offenders) who are involved in workshops to help them rehabilitate into society. The second is my effort to bring attention to the amazing Hoofsnhorns Farm animal sanctuary in Tucson, AZ which provides food and shelter for neglected and abused animals, including dogs, cats and birds. The third Labor of Love "Victory Over Victimhood" has been ongoing for more than a decade. Victory Over Victimhood is a seminar I did on the topic of recovering from abuse (domenstic violence, sexual abuse). It is available for free for online listening or downloading, and I will also send anyone a CD set for free. Over the years I have distributed more than 500 FREE CD sets around the world.
