I have at long last moved into my own home after a very transient life in Sedona. I’ve moved around 14 times in the past 30 years. It’s not something I have ever wanted, but because of the very nature of Sedona, rentals tend to be temporary, because Snowbirds suddenly decide to make Sedona their permanent residence (which is totally understandable!), or they decide to sell their second home, opting to stay closer to their families on the east coast, or wherever they are from. Plus, there were at least three moves that I made in order to live with my Dad when he needed a live-in caregiver at various times.

I have just emerged from 12 years of caregiving and 15 months of physically, emotionally, and spiritually demanding work finishing up my Dad’s affairs after his death on December 21, 2021.
