The Saturday, January 5, 2013, event "Starting Your New Year Right!" was quite an incredible day for a number of reasons. Dr. Peebles talked about what to expect in the New Year, how to work with the energy, and offered meditations and timeless guidance to last the whole year through. There was a special toning with the audience for healing, and a meditation for manifesting your dreams from the inside out. And, there was a special message for me about my year, and that my channeling would evolve. One of my friends commented with a laugh, "Does that mean you're going to start levitating or something?" I honestly don't know. But, what I do know is I was especially touched when someone told me that Dr. Peebles said to the audience that my mother was standing next to me in spirit. (You might recall that she passed away last June, on the Summer Solstice.) I wasn't expecting that at all, since I haven't really heard from or felt my Mom much in the past few months.
However, when I was told this, I suddenly remembered what happened when I went into trance at this event. I felt my mother's presence so strongly, as if she was standing there with her arms wrapped around me, that I argued vehemently with Dr. Peebles (while I was in trance, and he was saying his opening statement), "Dr. Peebles! I can't do this! I'm too emotional!" which I was. I just wanted to come out of trance and cry tears of joy at feeling her there. The next thing I remember is nothing. Except suddenly I did come out of trance, and the audience was applauding. A full hour had passed. Usually I have some sense of the session happening...the energetic shifts, and an occasionally a memory of something he said. When I'm in trance it's sometimes like being backstage listening to someone giving a lecture, but I'm not really listening to it. I'm just hanging around, doing my own thing. But, this time there was nothing. Just my argumentative words, and then nothing but applause. No time lapsed in my consciousness at all. It was downright weird. And, apparently his closing statement included a comment about my Mom standing next to me during the session. Which had my Dad in tears. Big tears. When I got home and walked in the door, my Dad was standing there crying. He said that he'd eaten breakfast that morning, and fell asleep. He awakened about 20 minutes before the session was to begin. He had to get changed for the session, and he knew it was about a 20 minute drive to the event from where we live. He wasn't about to break any speeding laws. Yet, he arrived on time, but not early enough to put his name in the basket to potentially ask a question of Dr. Peebles. Unbeknownst to me, he wanted to ask about my Mom, but he knew that he had missed his chance. He usually never puts his name in the basket because he doesn't want to take away from someone else an opportunity to ask a question of Dr. Peebles. However, this time he really wanted to ask a question. (I know you're thinking, "Why don't you do a session for him, Summer?" Normally I would. I often channeled for my Mom while she was ill. But, in this case subject is too emotional for me, and I frankly haven't felt I could handle it.) I always tell my audience to hold their question in their heart, and listen to all of the answers that Dr. Peebles gives to others, and they just might find that their question is answered without having to ask it. So, apparently my Dad sat there and silently asked Dr. Peebles to please give him some sign that his wife (my Mom) was there and doing well. My Dad said he tried to read things into Dr. Peebles' answers, and tried to make them fit his own need to know about life after death, and my Mom's existence there. Still, it wasn't enough. And then, the miracle occurred. Dr. Peebles first kindly acknowledged my Dad, and then said that my Mom was standing next to me. And, in that moment, inside of my Dad, a deep healing occurred. His prayer had been answered, and in a most beautiful way. I believe that, in this case, it was even more validating because of the fact that my Dad has asked the question in his heart, in total silence, and yet Dr. Peebles heard him. The ways of God and Spirit are so magnificently beautiful, if we just trust that everything is unfolding beautifully and perfectly in our lives at all times. My Dad chose not to panic and drive recklessly to get to the event, rushing to put his name in the basket. Instead he surrendered to life as it was unfolding, and with childlike trust he held his question in his heart, and he was heard. I believe that this is how we can best communicate our prayers to God and Spirit. Instead of asking, begging, pleading for the answers to our prayers to come, and instead of trying to control the outcome, sometimes the best and only way that we are heard is through our faith and in our silence. I wish you all a very Happy and Blessed New Year. My wish for you is that peace, love and harmony are your constant companions throughout the year, and that your life is filled with abundance in all ways; in health, in love, financially, and spiritually...and that all of your dreams come true.
