Common Cold - Simple Remedies

Drink Spearmint Tea with a pinch of Nettles (like the stinging Nettles).

Inhale the fumes of the tea while you drink it. This should be in the form of loose leaf and not in a tea bag. Do not use an infuser, especially not the metal kind. (You can buy the tea bags and cut them open and put one in a cup of hot water with a spoonful of honey and a pinch of Nettles.) All of this is available at any  health food store.

Another smellier option is to take (4) onions and (3) Garlic cloves and make them into a paste. Rub this on the chest, the throat, the back of the neck and keep it there for 5 minutes.

It may burn the skin a bit, but breathe deep into the spine and inhale the fumes.

Dr. Peebles said this will kill anything and they used to do this in the old days. Another way to apply this that is not as messy is to make a wet cloth  poultice out of it and just lay it on the chest.
