Dr. Peebles through Summer Bacon
Question: I’ve never understood the meaning behind losing my first child right as she was being born, and I didn’t know if this is something that I can find a symbolic meaning out of.
Dr. Peebles: In that death of your child it was simply, for you, the release of everything that was dead inside of you, literally, emotionally, from the past. You weren’t ready [to have a child], because you were not yet really awake in your spirit.
What happened for you [as a result of the stillbirth] is suddenly you became ultra sensitive to life around you, ultra sensitive and aware of how much you do love humanity, and ultra sensitive, my dear, to how much you love life; the magnificence of creation, and truly how you never ever wanted to give birth to anything that was not totally alive ever again. And, that we mean symbolically in your life: through your words, the voice with which you speak, the way in which you have listened. The stillbirth increased your ability to hear others and their pain because of the depth of the pain within you, and that was an awakening. It was not that you died there, but you decided to live.
It’s very hard, and there’s no question about it, and there are spirits that will assist in such an occasion: such occurrences simply to help you to grow. There are spirits within families, within relationships who choose to incarnate, for example, as your father who is very stern, very arm's length, who treats you with disrespect in order to help you to grow, to show you that you don’t want to be like that again, to stand as a perfect mirror of who you were in a previous lifetime.
In the same way there are spirits who will choose to work with a mother to create a child within and allow for it to grow, to keep its heart beating until it is finally time for the birth, and after the birth in some cases that heart will still beat ,and then the child dies because the spirit chooses to leave in order to help the mother grow and learn lessons. It seems very harsh, but in truth my dear, more important than the birth of the child is the birth of you, and that is where God will create the glory and the magic: through very tough lessons. But ultimately you return to complete and ultimate love, and those painful experiences of being in the human flesh will eventually disappear. You will not have to experience them again. You will not have to reincarnate. You will suddenly realize that it was the pain that was the illusion of separation. Last Updated ( Wednesday, 11 October 2006 )
